Lapland is a unique destination to explore, especially in winter! It offers awesome adventures like dog-sledding and snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoe-hiking, reindeer sleigh and of course sauna - a tradition, that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Finland! You can visit husky farm and meet the Santa Claus and his little helpers in their village! We cross the Arctic Circle and get a chance to see the breathtaking Northern Lights! This adventure, full of mystery, ancient Nordic culture and arctic freshness, is sure to blow your mind!

On this tour we will be staying in a small hostel, in shared rooms (2-8 beds). Breakfasts and dinners are included for you. There will also be basic cooking facilities (fridge, microwave, kitchen ware) for you to prepare some simple lunch. The rooming lists will be made all together on first day of the tour.


We will be travelling with tourist bus, and our journey will contain 2 overnight rides. The bus has A/C, TV and WC; there are couple plug sockets; wifi is not available on the bus.

Tour Program

Day 1, Departure from Lithuania
We depart from Lithuania early morning and drive to Tallinn, where we catch the evening ferry to Helsinki. Once in Finland, we drive up north during the night. On the bus we get to know our travel mates, play games and watch some movies. We will also make regular stops for food.
Day 2, Lapland
In the morning, we arrive in Lapland. We will spend the next days in a small village and wilderness resort in Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle. Upon arrival, we enjoy late breakfast all together and set up the schedule for the coming days. Now it’s time to settle in and discover the surroundings! In the evening it's time for traditional Finnish sauna - a must-do thing once in Lapland!
Day 3, Lapland
Today we go to a nerby camp to do the husky and snowmobile safaris (optional activities). They also have a big husky farm that you can visit. Once you're done with your safaris, you can hike around and enjoy the breath taking views. On the way back we have the possibility to make a stop in a food store.
Evening is again sauna time!
Day 4, Lapland
Today we have a chance to visit one of the oldest reindeer farms in Finland (optional activity). The visit includes 1,5km reindeer sleigh ride, after which you can feed the animals and take pictures with them.
Later in the evening we get together by the open fire to have some hot glögg and look out for the Northern lights. Sauna also available tonight.
Day 5, Lapland –Helsinki 
Morning is free for some skiing or snow-she walks. Around midday we depart towards Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village. We meet Santa and take a photo all together. Later we have some free time in Rovaniemi. We recommend to visit famous Arktikum Museum to learn more about Arctic nature and Sami culture
In the evening, we depart towards Helsinki. We drive during the night.
Day 6, Helsinki-Tallinn-Lithuania
We arrive in Helsinki early morning and catch a ferry to Tallinn, and then continue by bus to Lithuania. We arrive home late evening.
*Kindly note that this is an estimated itinerary, and it may change depending on the exact destination in Finnish Lapland that your trip will go to. The detailed itinerary will be sent out to all passengers no later that 1 week prior to departure.

Optional activities

Optional Activities help you get the real taste of Lapland and make your trip fun and memorable! You can add the activities online in the booking system, as well as register on the spot. For some activities the number of places is limited, so we can only guarantee allotment for those who book the activities in advance.
Please note that Optional Activity are for extra cost. The payment is done on the spot, directly to the local organizers. You can pay in cash or by bank card. For some activities Scanbalt can ask small pre-payment in order to confirm your participation.
Activity takes place with minimum 10 participants. It is possible to cancel Optional Activities up to 14 days prior to departure. If you have booked the activity and decide not to participate when already in Lapland, you must still pay for your place, or find someone from the group who will do the activity instead of you.

  • Master of the snowmobile 5-10km -  50 Eur (shared driving, 2 people of one snowmobile) NB! Driving licence is needed!
  • Harriniva Husky farm visit - 8 Eur

IMPORTANT! Activities in Muotkavaara and Harriniva must be booked and paid in advance online. The booking for activities closes 15 days prior to departure. Later requests for activities will not be satisfied. This is the policy of the local supplier.
