Program

Day 1 Dublin
Welcome to Dublin! Come to the hostel and meet your fellow travellers and Scanbalt tour guide. Its free time until 16:00 when we leave together for a guided walk around the central city. In the evening we head out to take part of the famous nightlife of Dublin.

Day 2 Dublin to Galway
We travel West crossing the Green island with a first stop at Tullamore Dew Whiskey Museum. Get to know how The water of life or Uisce Batha is made. We continue our drive to the west where we shall enjoy a tour of Connemara taking in the sights of Cong, Lough Corrib, and the remote valleys of Connemara. Connemara is considered to be one of the most beautiful wildernesses in Europe, this is the true rugged beauty of Ireland you have come to see! Experience dramatic mountain scenery. In the late afternoon we arrive in Galway considered to be the cultural capital of Ireland where Gaelic still can be heard on the streets. The city is known great bars and clubs.

Day 3 Arran Islands
Join us for a day trip to Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands where the islanders are fluent in Irish. The island is yours to explore and a good way to do it is renting a bike. Dun Aonghasa is an Iron Age fort located next to a steep cliff and is one of the true highlights and together with kilometres of stone wall give this Gaelic Pearl a true ancient impression. After catching a ferry back its time to enjoy a Guinness with the locals in Galway.

Day 4 Galway to Dublin
From Galway we'll travel south to visit the beautiful Burren. This region in County Clare is famous for its barren landscape with unique rock formations along with diverse plants and animals. The area contains archaeological sites like tombs, burial chambers and the famous Celtic high cross.  We continue to Cliffs of Moher the vertical cliffs making the sharp but stunning boarder between the green island and the Atlantic. We continue East crossing Ireland for the capital Dublin and the final night!

Day 5 Dublin
After breakfast the trip is over but before leaving tick off some of the remaining highlights of Dublin!
