Day 1 Departure from Copenhagen to Oslo
We meet at the departure point in the evening and board DFDS ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo. We will spend a night on the ferry, 4-bed shared cabins. You will have plenty of time to get to know each other and spend a fun evening.
Day 2 Oslo-Laerdal
We embark to Oslo in the morning. We will meet our bus at the port and start a day with a guided tour of Oslo. In the afternoon departure to Laerdal by bus, we will make stops during the drive. In the evening we will arrive to Laerdal where we stay in cozy and nice cabins for two nights. After settling in we meet outside and have a barbeque together, feel free to bring your own food.
Day 3 Laerdal
A free day in Laerdal with possibilities to hike in the area or use free canoe for a trip on the fjord. You can also choose to go by bus to the Nigardsbreen Glacier where you can join a guided glacier-hike to experience the most spectacular sceneries (optional activity). Hike on Nigardsbreen Glacier guided by local professional outdoor-guides. Duration of the hike is about 4 hours of which 2 hours we walk on the ice with safety equipment (crampons, ice-axe, rope). Good if you have your own hiking boots. This walk can be challenging and takes you through more difficult blue ice formations. During the hike you will experience the most spectacular sceneries at the lower part of the Nigard Glacier. Be equipped for variations in weather and temperature from sunshine to rain.
Day 4 Laerdal-Bergen
After breakfast we will leave Laerdal by bus and travel to Flåm where you can board a boat for a cruise on the Sognefjord (optional activity). A narrow part of the fjord is called Nærøyfjord and is protected by UNESCO. Or you can stay in Flam and hang have a short hike there or visit local souvenir shops. In the evening we arrive in hanseatic city Bergen by the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 5 Bergen
Breakfast. Join the group for a guided walk and after that you can explore Bergen on your own. You could start with the UNESCO protected Bryggen, Bergen's old waterfront where the Hanseatic traders once lived and worked. If you would like a great view of the city and its surroundings, take the Flöjbanen or walk to the top of mount Flöjen (320 meters), or take the Cable car to Mount Ulriken (642 meters). Bergen also has some great museums. We depart Bergen in the evening and travel through Norwegians mountains during the night. Arrival to Oslo in the middle of the night, check-in to the hostel.
Day 6 Oslo-Copenhagen
Clean your rooms and check out from the hostel. Free day to discover Oslo on your own. 15:30 walk to the DFDS pier and check-in to the ferry. Departure 16:30 Oslo-Copenhagen by DFDS ferry.
Day 07 Copenhagen
Arrival back to the departure point. We hope that you will have wonderful memories of lifetime with new friends.
