Day 1: September 29-th
We depart early morning and head west to catch the ferry to the first island on our way – Hiiumaa! The voyage is around 1,5h – you can enjoy the views on the deck, or have meal at the cafe on board. Upon arrival on Hiiumaa we start discovering the island. We drive around and make stops in most interesting places.
We start with visiting wool factory “Hiiu Vill” that was founded already in 1950. Factory is still running and you can see how the machines are working. It’s also possible to buy souvenirs made of wool. Later we continue to Kõpu peninsula. If the weather is nice we will stop at Sääre tirp – very narrow spit of land going far into the Baltic sea (3 km).
Hiiumaa is famous for its lighthouses – first we visit Kõpu lighthouse, which is the oldest in the Baltics, and Tahkuna lighthouse – the tallest in Estonia. On the way back from Tahkuna lighthouse we will visit Military Museum. The museum exposition covers Hiiumaa’s coastal defence structures, armaments, and ammunition. Finally we will go to Ristimägi (Hill of crosses), and then go to of course, Kärdla – the capital of the island.
In the late afternoon we arrive at our accommodation. Now it’s free time for dinner and have great time.
Day 2: September 30-th
We leave Hiiumaa in the morning and continue to the next island – Saaremaa. One more ferry ride and we’re here: hello Saaremaa – the biggest of Estonian islands. We start the day exploring the island – we visit famous Angla Windmills and Karja church, later continue to a picturesque Panga cliff Odalätsi springs.
In the afternoon we arrive at our accommodation and now it’s time for the real fun! We split into teams to race on canoes, and later we get the chance to try our acting skills on real stage! All will be recorded so you can take the “memories” with you :)
In the evening it’s time for sauna, BBQ and party!
Day 3: October 1-st
Today we visit Kuressaare fortress and Kaali meteorite crater. Later it’s free time for lunch in Kuressaare, and in the afternoon we head to the last island on our way – Muhu.
Muhu is the smallest of the 3 islands and is connected to Saaremaa with dam (artificial road). On Muhu we visit at ostrich farm.
From Muhu island we take a short ferry ride back to the mainland and continue driving home. Arrival late evening.
