Chalmers Lapland Tour
Note that this tour is mainly for Chalmers Students. If you don't study at Chalmers you can book if you know a student from Chalmers who booked. You need the booking number of the Chalmers student and write it in a special field when booking. Inform us, if you would like to start from Örebro or Västerås.

Day 1 Departure
09:30 Departure from Gothenburg, Chalmers Library. Pick up in Västerås and Örebro. Take the belongings you need until arrival in Kiruna inside the bus already from departure.
On the bus the tour manager will check ID cards, Student cards and the activities you booked. Everyone who signed up for combi tour have to decide which time they would like to go: morning/lunch/afternoon. If anyone booked the Iron Mine tour for the afternoon they have the right to pick the combi tour in the morning before others. We will have regular stops along the road and see some movies during the evening.
Day 2 Kiruna
07:45 Estimated arrival in Kiruna. Breakfast after arrival.
09:00 First group depart for the combi tour. You will be picked up outside the hostel by minibuses. Be there 5 minutes before and have cash with you (no credit card payment possible).
09:00 Those who dont leave for combi tour depart from the tourism office for the Iron Mine
12:30 Next group departs for combi tour.
15:00 Those who did not go for The mine tour in the morning depart from the tourism office.
15:30 Last group departs for combi tour.
22:00 Those who would like to go out for a beer meet outside the hostel.
Day 3 Kiruna-Abisko
09:45 All rooms should be cleaned and one person stand at the door with the key waiting for cleaning check.
10:30 Departure from the hostel for the Ice Hotel
12:45 Departure from the Ice Hotel
Lunch Break in Kiruna and possibility to shop in the supermarket. Buy food for next 2 days.
13:50 Departure from Kiruna
14:30 Visit to Rensjön and a Sami family with reindeers.
17:00 Arrival at Abisko National Park and our Hostel, free time to enjoy the nature and cook dinner.
Free time during the evening. Keep your eyes open for the Northern lights.
Day 4 Abisko-Narvik-Abisko
09:45 Departure for Norwegian town Narvik. Guided tour. Those who would like to can stay in Abisko to explore the area and rent equipment there.
15:00 Back in Abisko
Today we can enjoy the traditional wooden-heated sauna and take a dip in the ice-cold lake. You will be divided into 3 smaller groups and first group goes to sauna at 17:30. Groups are mixed, take bathing suites.
Day 5 Abisko
09:30 All rooms should be cleaned and one person must stand at the door with the key waiting for cleaning check.
09:50 Everyone who booked Ice Climbing or The guided Snow Shoe Walk meet at the reception area in the main building. You can pay either in cash or by credit card at the reception.
13:30 Departure from Abisko. ( everyone stepping off before Gothenburg the following day tell the drivers - your luggage will be stored separately) Photostop at the Arctic Circle and stop for food.
Day 6 Gothenburg
